Answer:

let total no of books be 100

cost of each book = 600/100

= 6

He sold ¼ of them at 5% loss

i.e he sold 25 ( 1/4 of 100 =25) books for 5 % loss

so he sold each notebook at = 6-5% of 6

6-(5/100)*6

6-(30/100)

6-0.3

=5.7

so he sold each book at RS 5.7

total amount he got after selling 25 books @5.7 = 25*5.7

= 142.5

he wants to get 10 % Profit on the whole

the amount he should get = 600+ 10 % of 600

= 600+(10/100)*600

= 600+60

=660

already he got RS 142.5

so needs to get remaining (660-142.5) amount by selling 75 books

selling price of 75 book should be = 660-142.5

= 517.5

selling price of each book =517.5/75

= 6.9

Result :he should sell the remaining books at RS 6.9 per book
