Answer:

let Mohan's savings be = x

savings given to wife:

35/100 * x = 35x/100                                          [35% of savings]

remaining savings now = x - 35x/100 = 100x/100 - 35x/100 = 65x/100

savings given to children:

a = 30/100 * 65x/100 = 1950x/10000                 [30% of remaining savings]

b = 25/100 * 65x/100 = 1625x/10000                   [25% of remaining savings]

c = 25/100 * 65x/100 = 1625x/10000                   [25% of remaining savings]

a + b + c = 1950 + 1625 + 1625  / 10000 = 5200x/10000 = 52x/100

remaining savings now = 65x/100 - 52x/100 = 13x/100

savings given to hospital:

90/100 * 13x/100 = 1170x/10000 = 11.7x/100       [90% of remaining savings]

remaining savings = 13x/100 - 11.7x/100 = 1.3x/100

given: Mohan has Rs. 6500 left.

Thus, 1.3x/100 = 6500

1.3x = 6500* 100

1.3x = 650000

x = 650000/1.3

x = 6500000/13

x = 500000

Therefore, Mohan's total savings are Rs. 500000 or 5 lakh rupees.
