Mohan had ₹30 in his wallet. In the denominations of 25 paise and 50 paise coins if the number of 25 paise coins is 4 times that of 50 paise coins. Find the number of coins of each denomination.

let us assume that the number of coins of 1 rupee are x

therefore coins of 50 paisa are 3x

amount of 1 rupee coin = 1×x=100x paisa

amount of 50 paisa coins=50×3x=150 paisa

100x+150x=4500

250x=4500

x=18
