ANSWER:

  • Length of his brother Field = 70 m

GIVEN:

  • For Mohal Lal rectangular field.
  • Length = 80 m
  • Length = 80 mBreadth = 35 m
  • For his brother
  • Breadth = 40m

TO FIND :

  • Length of his brother Field.

SOLUTION:

Area of Mohan lal rectangular field.

  • Length = 80 m
  • Breadth = 35 m

Formula

  • Area of rectangle = Length * Breadth

Putting the values we get;

=> Area = 80 * 35 m²

=> Area = 2800 m²

Area of his brother Field :

=> Area = (40 m) * Length

Given: (Area of Mohan lal field) = (Area of his brother Field)

Breadth of his brother Field = 40 m

=> 2800 m² = length * 40 m

=> 2800/40 = length

=> 70 m = length

  • Length of his brother Field = 70 m

Answer:

Given:

Mohan Lal exchanged his 80 m long and 35 m broad field with the field of his brother having equal area and breadth of his brother's field is 40 m.

To Find:

We need to find the length of the field.

Solution:

We have been given that area of Mohan Lal's rectangular field is 80m and breadth is 35m.

We know that the area of rectangle is Length × breadth.

Substituting the given values, we get

Area of rectangular field = 80 × 35 = 2800m^2.

It is given that the area of Mohan Lal's field is equa to the area of his brother's field.

But, the breadth of Mohan Lal's brother's field us 40m.

So we have,

2800m^2 = length × 40m

2800/40 = length

70m = length

Therefore the length of Mohan Lal's brother's field is 70m.
