Solutions :-

Given :
Cost of old scooter = Rs 12000
Spent on its Repairing = Rs 2850
Total cost price = Rs (12000 + 2850) = Rs 14850

Selling price = Rs 13860

Cost Price is greater than the selling price. Therefore, Loss.

Loss = C.P - S.P
= Rs (14850 - 13860)
= Rs 990

Loss % = (loss × 100)/C.P %
= (990 × 100)/14850 %
= 99000/14850 %
= 6.66 % approx.

Hence,
His Loss percent = 6.66%

Solutions :-

We have,

Mohan lal purchased old scooter = Rs 12000
Spent = Rs 2850
Total cost price of scooter = Rs (12000 + 2850) = Rs 14850

Sold it to his friend Sohan = Rs 13860

Here,

Cost Price > Selling price

Find the Loss :-

Loss = C.P - S.P
= Rs (14850 - 13860)
= Rs 990

Find the Loss percent :-

Loss % = (loss × 100)/C.P %
= (990 × 100)/14850 %
= 99000/14850 %
= 6.66 % approx.

Answer : Loss percent = 6.66%
