Solution :

let simple interest for Mohan x

now simple interest for shyam 2196 - x

so, for Mohan

=> x = (4800 x 9 x r)/200

=> x = 48 x 9r/2

=> x = 24 x 9r

=> x = 216 r ........(1)

now for shyam

=> 2196 - x = 2500 x 6 x r/100

=> 2196 - x = 25 x 6 r

=> 2196 - x = 150 r

put value of x from equation 1

=> 2196 - 216 r = 150 r

=> 2196 = 150 r + 216 r

=> 366 r = 2196

=> r = 2196/366

=> r = 6 %

=> The rate of 6% percent per annum
