Mohan want to buy a Trapezium shaped field its side along the river is parallel and twice the side along the road if the area of the field is 10500 m square and the perpendicular distance between two parallel side is hundred M find the length of the side along the river

Let the length of the field along the road be l m. Hence, the length of the field along the river will be 2l m.

Area of trapezium = 1/2(Sum of parallel sides) (Distance between the parallel sides)

10500m*2= 1/2(l+2l)(100m) 
105m=3l/2
l=70m
Thus, length of the field along the river = (2 × 70) m = 140 m
