Mohan was doing the experiment on electrolysis of water. He took distilled water , but he did not see any gas bubbles near the electrodes. What could be the reason for not getting gas bubbles when he did electrolysis ? What should he do in order to get the gases during Electrolysis?

Answer:

Explanation:

Electrolysis of pure water is very low because water is an covalent compound so it can't ionize to release ions hence he could not see any bubbles near the electrodes. Therefore, Mohan can make that distilled water impur by adding any other liquid like tap water, lemon juice to it
