3/5is used therefore 2/5 is left let total be x
2/5x=500
x=1250

Let total weight of pocket be x

We are given, 3x/5 + 500 = x
                       so, x-3x/5 = 500
                           5x-3x = 2500
                           2x = 2500
                      so, x = 1250 g
         

So, Total weight of the pocket = 1.25 Kg
