Answer:

down stream speed =7.4km/hr ,up stream =4.5km/hr and speed of the stream = 2.9 km/hr

Step-by-step explanation:

speed of in down stream(s) = distance /time

one mile = 1.5 km (approximately)

so 30 miles = 45 km

given

time taken downstream = t1=6 HR

time taken upstream =t2=10 HR

substituting values

s1=45km/6hr

s1=7.4km/hr

S2=45km/10 hr

S2=4.5km/hr

and

speed of stream = speed during down stream - speed during up stream

i.e speed of stream = 7.4km/hr -4.5km/hr

= 2.9km/hr
