Question:

Mohit earns 2,50,000 in a year. He saves 260,000 and spends the rest. Find the ratio of

a) his earning to his saving.

b) money that he saves to the money he spends.

Given:

Earning of Mohit ₹2,50,000

Savings - ₹60,000

To Find:

  • The ratio of  his earning to his saving.

  • The ratio of money that he saves to the money he spends.

Money spent by Mohit :

Earning of Mohit ₹2,50,000

Savings - ₹60,000

Money spent by him =  ₹2,50,000 - ₹60,000

= ₹ 1,90,000

Solution:

a) his earning to his saving.

2,50,000: 60,000

25 : 6

b)  money that he saves to the money he spends.

60,000 : 1,90,000

6 : 19

Answer:

  • a) 25 : 6

  • b) 6 : 19
