• The spinning top consists of seven different colours.

• The white light consists of seven different colours namely violet, indigo, blue, green , yellow, orange and red.

• When the top spins at a very high speed, all the seven colours appears to mix together to form white light and the only colour that is seen by the human eye is white. This effect is similar to Newton's colour disc.

• This is the reason because of which Mohit fails to see the yellow colour of the top and instead sees only the colour white.
