Mohit took a wire of length 66cm and bend it into the shape of the circle. Find the radius of that circle. Also finds its area. If the same wire is bent into the shape of a square, what will be the length of each of its side? Which figure encloses more area, the circle of the square?

Step-by-step explanation:

THE TOTAL LENGTH OF THE WIRE=CIRCUMFERENCE OF CIRCLE.

THEREFORE,

C=2\pi r\\66=2*\frac{22}{7} *r\\\frac{66*7}{2*22} =r\\\frac{3*7}{2} =r\\\frac{21}{2} cm=r

THEREFORE,

A=\pi r^{2} \\A=\frac{22}{7} *\frac{21}{2} *\frac{21}{2}\\A=11*3*\frac{21}{2}\\A=346.5cm^{2}

FOR SQUARE,

P=4s\\\frac{66}{4} =s\\16.5cm=s

THEREFORE,

A=s^{2} \\A=16.5^{2} \\A=272.25cm^{2}
