Let the Marked Price(MP) be Rs.x
Since,CP=MP+VAT
CP=x+10/100*x
1650 =x+x/10
1650 =11x/10
x=16500/11=1500
Therefore VAT on MP =10/100*1500=150
Therefore the amount of VAT is Rs.150
