Answer: For  freedom.  East Pakistanis (now the Bangladeshi)  were  tired  of  being ruled by the West  Pakistan government. West Pakistan  imposed strict  rules  which  were  causing   the people of East Pakistan  dissatisfaction.  Moreover, the West  Pakistan  soldiers  used  to torture women, kill  small  children and  also  showed  no sympathy  towards  the general  mass.  The Hindu  citizens  were  the worst  victim.
