Both molality (mol/kg) and molarity (mol/l) are measures of the concentration of solutes in solution.

Other compounds can have a molality and molarity when dissolved in water, and water can have a molality and molarity when dissolved inother solvents.

However pure water is a compound not a solution, therefore the question is meaningless

they are the parameters ususally requires no of moles of solute but water is a complete solvent
