Co is cobalt while CO is carbon monoxide

Co has 58.94u where as CO has 28u

C6H12O6

C=12×6=72

H=1×12=12

O=16×6=96

Approximately 180 u

C12H22O11

C=12×12=144

H=1×22=22

O=16×11=176

Approximately 342u
