an intensive property is a property of the system which does not depend on the amount of substance(matter). As the volume occupied by 1 mole of any substance is fixed it doesn't depend on the amount of substance present.

just like density( = mass/vol. )is constant no matter how much of that substance is present even when mass and volume both are extensive properties.

Molar volume is an intensive property:

An intensive property is the property of the system which doesn't depend upon the matter or the amount of the substance.

The volume occupied by 'one mole of a substance' is fixed and does not change and it does not depend upon the amount of the substance present, it is the intensive property.

One more example is the density. It is the ratio of volume and mass. Volume and mass are extensive properties as they depend upon amount of the substances, but the ratio is constant. So, density is also intensive property.
