Molality of solution = 3 mol/Kg

3 moles of NaOH in 1000g solvent(water)

Moles of solvent = Given mass/Molar mass = 1000/18 = 55.5 mol

Mole fraction of solvent = no. of moles of solvent/Total no. of moles in solution = 55.5/58.5 = 0.95

☆ Molality (m) is defined as the number of moles of solute per kilogram of solvent.

☆ Molarity is a measurement of the moles in the total volume of the solution, whereas molality is a measurement of the moles in relationship to the mass of the solvent.
