Molecular formula of an organic compound [A] is C3H6O. It is oxidised by K2Cr2O7 and H2SO4 and forms compound [B]. Compound [B] changes into compound [C] after reacting with PCL5 which reacts with hydrogen in presence of Pd and H2SO4 forming compound [D]. Sodium salt of compound [B]on electrolysis give a gas [E] as anode.
(1) write down the names of all compound from [A] to [D] .
(2) Write down chemical equation for each step from [A] to [E].

Answer:compound is propanal

B=propanoic acid

C=propanoyl chloride

D=propanal

E=carbon dioxide

hope it hepls

Explanation:

first reaction is oxidation of aldehyes to acid

second one is reaction of acid with pcl5 to give alkanoyl chloride

then third one is rosendmund reduction

and last but not the least e is formed by kolbe electrolysis
