Molar weight of Fe=56 g

Molar weight of S=32 g

Molar weight of O2=32 g i.e.Molar weight of O=16 g

Therefore,

molar weight of ferric sulphate is:- (2*56)+3*(32+4*16)=400 g

Now, 400 g of ferric sulphate is 1 mol

1 g of ferric sulphate is 1/400 mol

40 g of ferric sulphate is (1/400)*40=0.1 mol

So,40 g of ferric sulphate has 0.1 mol of it.
