As per IUPAC definition, Equivalent weight can be defined as follows:

In case of molecules, Equivalent weight = Molecular weight/number of replaceable hydrogen

In case of metals, Equivalent weight = Molecular weight/number of valance electron

In case of tribasic acid molecule, Molecular weight = m g

Number of replaceable hydrogen in tribasic acid molecule = 3

So the equivalent mass = m/3 g
