Oxygen was not produced on early earth.
- The early earth's surface was in molten form. On cooling the gases released were carbon dioxide ammonia, water vapour and methane.
- These gases were formed by reaction between atoms and free radicals.
- The above mentioned reactions were assisted by UV rays, lighting and high temperature.
- The presence of mentioned four gases on primitive earth was proved by Stanley Miller.
