The moment of momentum or rotational momentum in physics is called "Angular momentum" 
The SI(system international) unit for angular momentum is kg-m2/sec.
In physics it is an important quantity, the reason behind is that it is a conserved quantity. The total moment of momentum (angular momentum) of a system remains constant; unless an external torque is applied.
