If momentum of an object increases by 20 percent than the kinetic energy will increase by 44 percent because momentum=mass*velocity
so if momentum increases by 20% it means velocity is increased by 20%.
let old velocity=v
new velocity=v+0.2v=1.2v
so old K.E.=1/2MV^2
NEW KE=1/2M(1.2V)^2
HENCE %INCREASE=0.44×100=44%
Hope this helps
