QUESTION➡

Mona took wire of length 22 metre and bend it into the shape of circle find the area of circle also find its radius if the same wire is banned into the shape of a square what will be the length of each of its side which figure enclose more area the circle or the square.

ANSWER➡

Length of the wire = 22 m ( given)

We know that,

The circumference of the circle= Length of the wire

 = > 2\pi \: r \: = 22

 = > 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times r = 22

 = > \frac{44}{7} \times r = 22

 = > r = 22 \: \times \frac{7}{44}

 = > r = \frac{7}{2}

 = > r = 3.5m

________________________________________________

Area \: \: of \: \: the \: \: circle=\pi \: r{}^{2}

 = \frac{22}{7} \times 3.5 \times 3.5

 = 38.5 \: m{}^{2}

_______________________________________________

To find the side of the square:-

Length of the wire=The perimeter of square

22 = 4 \times side

 = > side = \frac{22}{4}

 = > side = 5.5m

_______________________________________________

To find the area of the square:-

Area \: \: of \: \: square= (side) {}^{2}

 = (5.5) {}^{2}

 = 30.25m {}^{2}

Therefore,

The circle encloses more area

Length of wire = 22 m

It is bent to make a circle , so

Circumference of the circle = 22

2πr = 22

r = 22 \times \frac{7}{22} \times \frac{1}{2} = 3.5r=

The required radius = 3.5 m

Area = πr² = 22/7 × 3.5 × 3.5 = 38.5 m²

Then it is bent to make a square so ,

Perimeter = 22

4× Side = 22

Side = 22/4 = 5.5 m

Area = Side × Side = 5.5 × 5.5 = 30. 25 m²
