Answer:

B has Rs. 160

Step-by-step explanation:

Let A have Rs 'x'

and B have Rs. 'y'

A said B "If you give me half your money I will have 200."

=> 200 = x + y/2

=> 400 = 2x + y

=> y = 400 - 2x          --(i)

B said A, "If you give me one-third of your money, I will have 200''

=> 200 = y + x/3

=> 600 = 3y + x                    --(ii)

Substituting the value of y from equation (i) in equation (ii), we get

600 = 3(400 - 2x) + x

=> 600 = 1200 - 6x + x

=> 600 - 1200 = -5x

=> -600 = -5x

=> x = 120

As y = 400 - 2x

       = 400 - 2*120

       = 400 - 240

       = 160

Therefore, B has Rs. 160
