Answer:
Hari Singh realised the importance of education when he observed the kindness and genuineness of Anil. Anil taught him to read and write. This gave confidence to Hari Singh and he thought with his cleverness, he can now achieve anything that he wants. Anil was his next victim. But after stealing money from Anil, he realised that stealing and acquiring money by wrongdoings can only bring temporary satisfaction. He also felt that education is the essence of a dignified life. It brings respect and builds up an honourable way of living. So he chose education over petty theft.
