Ravi was a little boy. He was eight years old. He lived in the outskirts of the town with his parents. They did not have much money. So every night Ravi used to gaze at the window and search for shooting stars. His ultimate wish was to provide money to his family which will increase their happiness. Ravi's parents were not aware of this. They used to think that Ravi prays at the stars and the moon at night. One day his father heard what he prayed. He felt very bad. They did not have money but still they were happy and contended. He talked about this to Ravi's mother.

Next day when Ravi came back from school his father took him to a room and said, " Ravi what is the thing that you need the most now?" Ravi at once shouted money. But soon be realised that he had made a mistake. He looked at his father's eyes. They showed disappointment. That day his father didn't say anything to Ravi.

Next day a poor Brahman visited Ravi's house. He did not have clothes and food. He looked shabby and slim. Ravi quickly took his lunch and gave it to the Brahman. He ate that lunch with joy. Finally he blessed Ravi and went away. The happiness and pleasure in the Brahman's eyes and face made Ravi realise what true happiness is. His father who had been watching the entire incident came towards him and said, " Now tell me Ravi. do you still need money?" Ravi shook his head with confidence
