The distance of image from mirror = 6 m

Initial distance of obj. to mirror = 6m

Distance b/w img and obj. = 6 + 6 = 12 m

The obj. moves 2m towards mirror then img. also moves 2 m towards miror.

Final distance b/w obj and img. = 12 - 2 - 2

                                                    = 8 m
