Flower required by Mono for Garland = 25

Flower required by Anna for Garland =  40

minimum number of flowers to be plucked so that either of them can make garlands by using up all the flowers means we required least number which is divisible by 40 and  25 . that is L.C.M of 40 and 25

25 = 5 × 5

40 = 5 × 2 × 2 × 2

L.C.M( 40, 25) = 5 × 5 × 2 × 2 × 2  = 200

Hence minimum 200 flowers  should be plucked using which Anna can make 200/40 = 5 garlands  or mono can make 200/25 = 8 garlands  , using up all the flowers.
