Monocots are flowering plants. A cotyledon is a significant part of the embryo within the seed of a plant. Endosperm i.e. exalbuminous is a tissue produced inside the seeds of most of the flowering plants. Acoraceae has cellular endosperm development while other monocots are helobial.
