1.it makes farming much more efficient keeping down costs
2.machines and procedures can be used totally systematically on a large scale
3.it helps in mass production of crops in a situation of famine etc....
4.the crops can be able to get adequate sunlight and nutrients when compared to polyculture.

because each type of plant needs different types of nutrients. So these nutrients are depleted from the soil. For the replacement of these nutrients farmers use excessive chemical fertilizers, which ruins the soil making it either too alkaline or acidic. So crop rotation will help in giving the soil the needed time and certain bacteria
