Because each type of plant needs different types of nutrients. So these nutrients are depleted from the soil. For the replacement of these nutrients farmers use excessive chemical fertilizers, which ruins the soil making it either too alkaline or acidic. So crop rotation will help in giving the soil the needed time and certain bacteria (eg - rhizobium ).so monoculture is bad for soil.

COZ IN MONOCULTURE ONLY ONE  CROP IS CULTIVATED IN THE FIELD FOR MANY TIMES.BY THIS THE NUTRIENTS,FERTILITY OF THE SOIL WILL BE GOING DOWN AND THESE CROPS WONT BE ROTATED AS A RESULT THE SAME FERTILIZERS SHUD BE USED IN THE SOIL SO THE INSECTS GET USED TO THE FERTILIZERS AND THE PESTS GROW MORE AS A RESULT THE CROP WILL BE DEAD,AND THE SOIL WILL BE LOOSING ITS HEALTH.

HOPE THIS HELPS.PLS MARK AS BRAINLIEST
