Hello friend!
Well I want to say against the statement that monocultures are bad for soil health..
I think it is rather quite useful....Here's why:
1. It cuts down costs thereby increasing the efficiency of farming..
2.It helps in producing a mass and quality-output by using many well-developed machines and procedures.
3.It is helpful during a natural crisis succh as drought, famines etc.
4.As compared to polyculture, here the crops get all the desired nutrients and the sunlight that they require..
Hence monoclutures are beneficial indeed..

because each type of plant needs different types of nutrients. So these nutrients are depleted from the soil. For the replacement of these nutrients farmers use excessive chemical fertilizers, which ruins the soil making it either too alkaline or acidic. So crop rotation will help in giving the soil the needed time and certain bacteria
