Monocultures ( cultivation of a single crop on a field) are bad for soil health. Comment
Tias1:
This type of farming goes against any form of traditional crops and growing food. The main technique is to replant the very same crop species in the very same field, with no other type of plant whatsoever. This is the basis of large-scale farm corporations that have been trying to control our food sources for decades. And, with the quantity of technology used – such as chemical fertilizers – the practice has become common, often usurping organic farming.

Hi!
Here's your answer.
It's rightly said that Monoculture is bad for soil health. This is because if we grow only a single crop in a field than the soil of that area will become a kind of addict to that crop and eventually starts loosing the fertility of the soil. That's why it is said that we have to plant a crop which can retain the fertility of the soil after a crop like rice.
Hope it helps.

cause each type of plant needs different types of nutrients. So these nutrients are depleted from the soil. For the replacement of these nutrients farmers use excessive chemical fertilizers, which ruins the soil making it either too alkaline or acidic. So crop rotation will help in giving the soil the needed time and certain bacteria
