Answer: Saprophytes mostly feed on dead and decaying organic matter. They obtain nutrients from the waste or dead. This type of nutrition is called saprophytic nutrition. Examples are mushroom and molds, Monotropa uniflora ( Indian pipe ), mycorrhizal fungi, etc.
