Given: The monthly incomes of Amit and atul are in the ratio 6:5.ratio and their expenditure is 5:4. Each of them saves RS2500 per month.

To find: We have to find their monthly income.

Solution:

Let the monthly income of Amit be 6x and Atul be 5x.

Let their monthly expenditures be 5y and 4y.

Each of them saves 2500.

So, we can write-

6x-5y=2500

5x-4y=2500

6x - 5y = 5x - 4y \\ 6x - 5x = - 4y + 5y \\ x = y

Putting the value of y in terms of x in the above equation we get-

6x - 5x = 2500 \\ x = 2500

The value of x is 2500.

Thus monthly income of Amit is 2500×6=15000

and monthly income of Atul is 2500×5=12500.

The monthly income of Amit is 15000

monthly income of Amit is 15000and monthly income of Atul is 12500.
