moon is continuously revolving around earth without falling towards it because

the forces of speed and gravity keep the Moon in a constant orbit around Earth . It is also because of the gravitational attraction of earth provides the necessary centripetal force to the moon for its orbital motion around the earth. Due to which the moon is revolving around'the earth.

  • The Moon doesn't fall while revolving Earth because it gets a centrifugal force due to its own and the Sun's gravity, and a centripetal force due to Earth's gravity.
  • Thus, these two forces cancel each other, making the Moon stay on its orbit around the Earth.
