The story Zigzag is about a multilingual talking – singing bird. . Dr. Krishnan's (one of the main characters in the story) cousin Somu had requested him for a while to keep Zigzag, his pet. The family of Dr. Krishnan (a child specialist) was shocked to see this strange and mysterious creature. The bird could speak and sing in around 21 different languages

Not only does such a person waste his time, they often end being a nuisance to the society. They start doing things that bothers and annoys people around them.

Apparently, it was bred by a genuine African witch doctor (a child specialist) and he was used to being with doctor and helping him with his errands. Since he was kept at Dr. Krishnan's home and he was idle and not doing the work that he was trained for, Zigzag started behaving erratically.
- It created such a commotion at their house. The moment Krishna took Zigzag to his clinic, the bird Zigzag started commanding everyone in the clinic, and it was doing its job, for which he was trained earlier by the African witch doctor. He was an absolute treasure and a great help for the family.
