dust of snow means the tiny particles of snow. the poet says so because when a crow sat on the hemlock tree and shakes then tiny particle of snow fall over him and his mood changes. in earlier he is in very sad mood and just because of this small incident he became happy and joyful for the rest of the day.

fire and ice:

The theme of Robert Frost's poem is the destuctive potential of hatred and desire. In his poem, Frost explores with amazingly eloquent brevity two forces which have the potential to bring destruction to the world. The first of these two is desire, which Frost likens in heat and intensity to fire.
