More industrial production means availability of more goods, better lifestyle, lower

prices, more jobs etc. However, a higher standard of living can be achieved only at a

cost-depletion of raw materials as well as air and water pollution. Write a debate

for/against the motion: ‘Standard of living can be raised, but only at a great cost.’

Answer:

The quality of your life reflects the standard of your life.

Explanation:

  • By increasing the industrial products, there will be more food, low-coast items, and more jobs.
  • However, a standard life is possible when people have enough food, clothes, jobs, money to buy all necessities.
  • A standrdea life is not juts limited to materialistic things but also includes a clean environment without any water or air pollution.

Honorable panel of jury, distinguished guest, respected teachers my fellow friends and not to forget my worthy but misguided opponents .I Savita stand for you to speak for the motion on the topic "standard of living can be raised but only at a great cost."

who does not want to lead a good life? A life where everything is comfortable jobs are plentiful, prices are low ,dams provide safety from natural disaster etc. Yes such a life though had seemed a dream sometime back is within reach now but unfortunately ,at a very great cost . to fulfill this dream we have sacrificed and are still sacrificing our natural resources and have given an open invitation to all types of pollution thereby leading to various disease and complication is scenario now is that we have all the luxuries that we even wanted but no health to enjoy them is This how we had expected like to be ?no ,no to not misunderstand me I am not against progress I only want to stress upon the point that progress should be beneficial to man and nature alike lets find a way that will enable us to have our cake and eat it too!
