More reactive metals occur in combined form where as less reactive metal occur in free state

The more reactive metals as they are more reactive they combine easily and occur in combined state and the less reactive metals this occur in free state as they react less. Hope this helps

In the activity series, the more reactive metals is placed at the top of Earth. The more reactive metal has greater tendency to form their compounds where as least reactive metal please at the bottom metals such as silver, gold and plantinum are found in the free state in the earth's crust.
