More reactive metals occur in the combined form, whereas less reactive metals occur as free metal in nature. Give reasons.​

Metals such as aluminium, magnesium etc. have a tendency to react or combine with other elements in order to form compounds.

Therefore, they occur in combined forms.

On the other hand, less reactive metals such as gold, platinum etc. do not have a tendency to combine with other elements and thus they exist as free metal.

Highly reactive metals possess greater reactivity and hence are not found in free state.
