When a force is applied perpendicular to a surface area, it exerts pressure on that surface equal to the ratio of F to A, where F is the force and A the surface area. Hence, the formula for pressure ( p ) is p = F / A.

PLEASE MY DEAR FRIEND MARK ME BRAINLIEST

Answer:

Pressure is the force per unit perpendicular area over which the force is applied. In equation form, pressure is defined as. P=FA P = F A .

The SI unit of pressure is pascal and 1 Pa=1 N/m2 1 Pa = 1 N/m 2 .
