Because large number of stomata are present at the lower surface of dorsiventral leaf.

Reason why transpiration occurs in lower surface of dorsiventral leaf

The more transpiration occurs from lower surface of dorsiventral leaf as there are more stomata present in lower surface of the leaf instead of upper surface. So transpiration rate also high in lower surface.

The transpiration process of upper surface will high if more stomata opening will be present on upper surface of dorsiventral leaf. The more stomata is present in the lower surface of leaf rather than upper surface of the leaf in the dicot plant.
