Mosquitoes bite in the dark because of the following reasons.

They can sense their target by means of:

1.) Heat emanating from the body of the target.

Since mammals are warm blooded the mosquito can easily sense the location of the target even in the dark.

2.) They sense also the carbon(iv) oxide from the mammal hence it can reach the target.

Therefore mosquitoes need not to see the target in order to bite.

Even in the dark room it can bite.
