  3. Title bar:-The title bar displays both the name of the application and the name of the spreadsheet
  4. Menu bar
  5. The menu bar displays all of the menus available for use in Excel XP. The contents of any menu can be displayed by left-clicking the menu name.
  6. Toolbar
  7. ToolbarSome commands in the menus have pictures or icons associated with them. These pictures may also appear as shortcuts in the toolbar.
  8. Column headings:-Each Excel spreadsheet contains 256 columns. Each column is named by a letter or combination of letters.

  10. Each spreadsheet contains 65,536 rows. Each row is named by a number.
  11. Name box:-
  12. This shows the address of the current selection or active cell.
  13. Cell
  14. A cell is an intersection of a column and row. Each cell has a unique cell address. In the picture above, the cell address of the selected cell is B3. The heavy border around the selected cell is called the cell pointer.

• Row - The horizontal line ups of cells are known as the row.

• Column - The vertical line ups of cells are known as the column.

• Row heading - The number identification of a row is known as the row heading which is 1 to 65536.

• Column heading - The letter identification of a column is known as the column heading which are total 256.

• Formula bar - The formula bar (fx) is a bar situated in the MS Excel screen for entering mathematical formula to perform numerical calculations in the spreadsheet.

• Name box - The name box shows the currently selected cell in the spreadsheet.

• Title bar - This is situated in the top most part of the MS EXCEL screen which shows the name of the current spreadsheet.
