Most bathroom fitting and car/cycle parts are chromium plated.why ate not these parts made from chromium itself ?

Chromium is costly bro.

It is plated to give rust free environment for some days.

Hey dear,

● Explanation -
- Most parts of cycle, car & bathroom fitting are made from iron or some other corrosive metal.
- These parts are thus electroplated with chromium as it prevents them from corroding.
- As to your question, why aren't these parts made from chromiun in first place, the answer would it doesn't provide enough strength to thr matetial & it's quite expensive.
