hello!
Plants are green because the presence of chlorophyl. The leaves has a large amount of chlorophyll concentrated in the upper part. This Is because photosynthesis takes place in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll. Sunlight can't reach the lower part of the leaves. So the upper part of the leaves are comparatively shinier and greener than the lower part.
